Description:

The scopas medien AG in Frankfurt was founded 1999 by merging scopas Film, clayart Trickfilm, Jellymann projects and FunPage.

The film production company mainly provides documentaries and animated films. Their documentary division develops and produces films for the German TV market. From 2004 they have also accepted projects for international release in theatres and on TV. The animation label clayart, scopas medien AG, specializes in animation films in stop-motion technique.

With their classic, highly artisanal films and productions like the award-winning children films “Max&Ko” and “Frau Holle”, they have made themselves a name in the European animation industry. In Germany scopas is market leader in high quality stop motion productions.

In October 2006, scopas medien added a third business area to their service portfolio – merchandising and licensing. Integrating marketing and exploitation into their successful business concept of “Content and Service” ideally combines scopas’ different businesses and optimizes processes in the animated TV series division. Being producer, creator and rights owner at the same time scopas is now able to provide their virtual content with haptic identity by product licensing.

In promoting their common interest of strong brand value and diversified product worlds, scopas always is a professional partner, adviser and companion for their licensees.

"Dragon" is scopas medien AG’s first, international TV series project, co-produced by Cité-Amérique (Canada) and Image Plus (Korea) in co-operation with Treehouse and ZDF / ZDF Enterprises.

"Dragon" has been sold in 40 countries worldwide, including USA (qubo), Australia (ABC), Latin America (Cartoon Network), Germany (KIKA), the Netherlands (KRO), Belgium (VRT), Italy (RAI), Sweden (SVT), Norway (NRK).
