How the Grinch Stole Christmas! is a Christmas story for children by Theodor "Dr. Seuss" Geisel in rhymed verse with illustrations by the author. Miraculously, the Grinch discovers that Christmas is not just about money and presents.

The story was published in 1957 as a book by Random House and around the same time in an edition by Redbook The book has been made into a film several times.

Theodor "Seuss" Geisel is quite simply the most popular children's book author of all time. Winner of the 1984 Pulitzer Prize, three Academy Awards, two Emmy Awards, three Grammy Awards and three Caldecott Honors, Geisel wrote and illustrated 45 children's books. Hundreds of millions of copies have found their way into homes and hearts around the world. Theodor Geisel died on September 24, 1991, but Dr. Seuss lives on to inspire generations of children of all ages.
