One of Disney’s greatest triumphs, the movie Bambi is based on the book “Bambi – A Life in the Woods” by the Austrian author Felix Salten (1869-1945).
The sentimental story tells about the life and fate of a little fawn. When his mother is shot dead, Bambi finds help and comfort with his friends, Thumper, a rabbit, the skunk Flower, Owl and the female deer Faline. Together they survive several adventures, escape a devastating forest fire and discover the joy of friendship, love and the miracle of life.
The animated movie Bambi premiered in 1942 and is still one of Disney’s most loveable classic tales. Production of the film took more than five years. Due to intensive studies on forest life and animal habits the drawings for Bambi are tender and most realistic. Walt Disney always insisted on Bambi being his favourite animation ever.
