In addition to being used on greeting cards, dolls, posters and numerous other products were later offered through licensees; the product line was also expanded to include the character's friends and pets. In the 1980s, Strawberry Shortcake became a major fad. At that time, there were several related products, such as sticker albums, clothing, a video game for the Atari 2600, and various other products. Several TV episodes were filmed with the characters.
