Avatar : The Last Airbender (German: Avatar- der Herr der Elemente) is a fantasy animated series with influences of Japanese anime. It was broadcast over three seasons on Nickelodeon starting in 2005. It is set in a fictional world, but resembles historical East Asia. "Avatar" centers on twelve-year-old Aang, who is the ruler of the air. In addition, he is also the Avatar and has power over all elements. He wants to bring peace and balance to the world, but to do so he must first end the Fire Nation's war with the rest of the world. He is supported by friends he meets on his journey.
