Description:
Felix the Cat premiered in 1919 in several short cartoons by Otto Messmer. 1923 the short film "Felix in Hollywood“ entered American silver screen and became one of Felix’s greatest successes. Six years later Felix the Cat even crossed the Atlantic Ocean with Charles Lindbergh who had chosen him as a kind of mascot for his historical flight. And in 1928 Felix the Cat was the first-ever picture flickering on a TV screen. The NBC Studios used the cat as test card because of his high contrasts – and as a lucky charm.
