Technical problems force the pilots of a passenger airplane on its way from Sydney to Los Angeles to change their route –with disastrous results: Thousands of miles off the intended course, the aircraft crashes on a lonesome island somewhere in the Pacific ocean. 48 passengers survive. Fear, hope and resignation are on their minds, but they know they have to stick together to get through this alive.
