When a spaceship plummets into a forest near the tranquil Australian surf town of Lightning Point one stormy night, the town will never be quiet again. Instead, with pretty teen aliens Zoey and Kiki on a secret mission to Earth, Lightning Point is about to become the scene of intergalactic teen adventure, with drama, romance – and surfing!

The girls’ real adventure begins when their spaceship explodes and they’re stranded on Earth. Coming from Lumina, a barren, waterless planet, Zoey and Kiki are fascinated by the Earth’s oceans. On their first day in Lightning Point they befriend local surfie girl Amber and soon discover that they’re natural surfers – especially the ambitious Zoey.

Core themes: The overarching theme of the series is the surf culture of Australia combined with the science fiction mystery of aliens. The two teen aliens Zoey and Kiki discover the Australian surf town Lightning Point and experience drama, romance – and of course surfing! The series is about origin, friendship, growing up and saying good bye to close friends they made.

Other themes: Growing up, friendship, parents’ origin, love, courage and cowardice, the Earth and the oceans in comparison to other planets.
