Description:

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs is a 2009 animated science fiction film produced by directors Phil Lord and Christopher Miller. The film is based on the children's book by Judi and Ron Barrett.

The action takes place in the fictional town of Swallow Falls, inhabited by a young inventor named Flint Lockwood. Flint is a brilliant tinkerer who has dreamed since childhood of inventing a machine that can turn water into food. After many unsuccessful attempts, Flint finally invents the "Flint Lockwood Diatonic Super Mutating Dynamic Food Replicator" - FLDSMDFR for short. At first, the machine is a great success because it makes food rain from the sky. But then the machine gets out of control and produces giant food monsters that threaten Swallow Falls. Together with weather reporter Sam Sparks, the mayor and Flint's father, Flint tries to defeat the monsters and save the town.

"Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs" is an entertaining and colourful film suitable for both children and adults. The film also deals with themes such as friendship, family and the importance of self-acceptance.
