The toddler series "Teletubbies", developed by Anne Wood and Andrew Davenport and produced in England, has been broadcast since 1999. It is about four roundish characters. They are distinguished by their body color and the antenna on their head. All of them have a screen on their belly on which a story is played. Each Teletubbie is assigned an object: the purple Teletubbie "Tinky-Winky" has a red bag, the green "Dipsy" has a black and white spotted hat, "Laa-Laa" the yellow Teletubbie has an orange ball and the red Teletubbie "Po" has a red scooter.

The "Teletubbies" speak in a childlike language and the stories are told from the children's perspective. Due to its simple structure, the series is also known as marvel television, because, for example, objects in Teletubbie Land come to life and have eyes or can speak, such as the sun, which is the face of a baby, or the ever-present vacuum cleaner Noo-Noo.
