Bulldog Licensing, the representative for Shoot magazine, has signed two new deals that will boost the iconic football brand’s online presence.

The new agreements add to an ever expanding licensing programme that includes Portico for greetings cards and gifts, Samuel Eden for socks, Poetic Gem for adult apparel, Iron Gut for framed wall art.

Shoot has captivated successive generations of football fans with sharp, incisive writing and contributions from the stars of the game, from Bobby Moore and Alan Ball right up to modern day legends such as Frank Lampard and John Terry, before moving into the digital era by becoming the first football magazine to be made available around the world on the Web. Today, Shoot continues to be recognised as one of the most respected and widely read football magazines in the UK and the best-selling Shoot annual is still printed each year.

Shoot’s has an enormous Web presence at www.shoot.co.uk and has seen over 4m visits since its launch just 18 months ago. The site is set to be boosted even further thanks to the latest deal to include an online shop courtesy of the Official Web Shop, which will offer a full range of Shoot-branded merchandise. Bulldog has also brokered a deal with top digital content specialist The Magazine Cloner that will allow football fans to access Shoot magazine through an app on mobile devices such as the iPad, iPhone and Android.

“Shoot was the first football magazine to launch a free Internet-only edition, complete with turning pages and the site now receives over 400,000 visits a month, which is a very solid base for the development of the brand,” says Bulldog MD Rob Corney, “these new deals are expanding on this strong digital presence and are further evidence of how this hugely popular property is utilising technology in reaching out to new audiences.”
