Steve Van den Kerkhof, CEO of Belgium theme park group Plopsa outlined the strategy to develop and re-organize Holiday Park into a theme park until 2015. Following the acquisition of the amusement park by Plopsa, part of Studio 100 NV, approximately 3 million Euros have been invested since November 2010. A further 100 million Euros will be invested into the German theme park market within the next five years with Plopsa planning to open a further three parks in Germany. A 60% increase in visitors compared to the previous year already underlines the new management strategy. New fun rides: Maya the Bee, Tabaluga and House of Anubis With a 750,000 Euro investment the 260 meter long canal drive “The Adventures Of Tabaluga” brings the world of the lovely dragon Tabaluga to life. Additionally all the existing fun rides will be integrated into the new concept. Inaugurated by the actors of the German version of the House of Anubis, Alicia Endemann who plays Luzy and Karim Günes who plays Kaya, the new 70 meter high “Anubis Free Fall Tower” already shines in the splendor of the TV mystery teen series. |
