Conceptcard, a pioneering game publisher based in Denmark, has signed a license agreement that extends the worldwide rights of Bella Sara, an innovative horse-themed game for girls ages 5-12, to The Bella Sara Company, LLC, of Seattle, Washington.

“It’s been a wonderful 5 years with Peter Adkison and his team at Hidden City Entertainment. Working closely with Hidden City in developing such a beautiful property worldwide has been an honor and a pleasure. As owners of The Bella Sara Company, my husband, Henrik Heindorf and myself, are excited about moving forward with the new Bella Sara Company and the it’s team of former key staff members from Hidden City” said Gitte Braendgaard, Creator and Director of Conceptcard.

The Bella Sara Company plans to release the new Bella Sara Chibis (a new miniature collectible) late this summer and the new Winter Festival trading card release this fall, in multiple countries, as previously planned by Hidden City.

Peter Adkison, the original publisher of Magic: The Gathering, has led the development of the Bella Sara brand since 2006. He will continue to consult with Conceptcard during the transition. “It’s been a great ride, and what an amazing brand and incredible team I had the privilege to work with,” says Adkison. “I remain a huge fan of Bella Sara and I can’t wait to see what Braendgaard and her team come up with next!”

George Stetar, former Sr. Vice President of International Business and Licensing of Hidden City Entertainment, will be leading The Bella Sara Company in his new role as Global Rights Manager.

Conceptcard was founded in July of 2005 in Svendborg, Denmark. The company launched it’s first product, a game called Bella, also in September of 2005. Bella Sara today has over 8 million registered users and over 160 million cards sold to date, with over 65,000 points of sale in over 27 countries and over 50 licensees.
