Leading toy designer Aurora World UK to produce range of RSPCA soft toys

Leading animal welfare charity and popular consumer brand RSPCA has awarded a licence to soft toy designer and distributor Aurora to produce a range of plush animals. These soft toys will not only be ideal gifts but will help to raise awareness of the work of the Society with many different types of animals.

There will be six exciting plush categories: RSPCA farm animals (cow, pig, sheep, donkey); RSPCA puppies (schnauzer, spaniel, beagle, border collie); RSPCA pets (black and white cat, poodle, tabby cat, dachshund); RSPCA woodland (fox, squirrel, rabbit, deer); RSPCA wild animals (lion, elephant, giraffe, tiger) and RSPCA ponies, making up the initial launch of 23 animals.

A key feature of the presentation of the animals will be an RSPCA tag explaining how RSPCA helps animals and how the public can aid its work.

Aurora, one of the leading companies for high-end, soft toy designs in the global gift industry, is planning to launch at the Autumn Fair with stock available in the market in time for Christmas. The range will be on sale in a wide range of independent and high street outlets including gift, book and toyshops as well as garden centres and pet shops, and will also be sold through online partners.

RSPCA trading manager Cathy Snow said: “The Aurora range is not only appealing, cuddly and beautifully designed but actively promotes RSPCA values and underlines our commitment to all animals. We are sure the range will be popular at retail, where contributions from its sales will help boost funding of essential RSPCA work to prevent cruelty and promote kindness to animals.”

This is another significant addition to the fast-growing RSPCA licensing campaign, which should see the charity make strong inroads as a trusted and high quality brand into a number of categories including apparel, gifts, homeware, paperware and pet care products.

Verity Groom, Aurora Marketing, said: “We are thrilled to have the opportunity to work with one of this country’s most respected and loved charities and a brand known and recognised everywhere. We are certain this delightful and educational range of animal plush will be a popular present throughout the Christmas period and beyond.”
