The Beatles, Moomin, London & Partners and Mills & Boon
plus new properties, new signings and new announcements at stand B085

Some of the world’s biggest music and publishing stars will be joining the best big city on Earth and one of the great names in romance on a very busy stand B085 at BLE 2011. That’s where Caroline Mickler Ltd, the award-winning boutique agency which specialises in creating and implementing licensing programmes for its portfolio of brands, both as agent and consultant, will showcase The Beatles, Moomin, London & Partners and Mills & Boon as well as its newest signings Zoodorable and the Non-Violence Project.

The Beatles
Caroline Mickler Ltd has been successfully implementing the Beatles brand licensing strategy on behalf of Apple Corps Ltd since 2003. Product at retail now covers such wide-ranging categories as apparel, watches, jukeboxes and puzzles and such household-name licensees as Ben Sherman, Zeon and Paul Lamond. The campaign’s success among signings and at retail has also been recognised by the licensing industry as a whole: at the 2010 Licensing Awards, The Beatles took home the award for Best Celebrity Licensed Property.

Moomin
The Moomins have been stars of books, cartoon strips, stage and screen for over half a century. Caroline Mickler Ltd’s strategy for the Moomin brand has brought a wide range of licensed product, including plush, stationery, cards, books, apparel, accessories, tableware, and fashion and lifestyle products to two target markets for whom the lovable, carefree trolls have a massive and enduring appeal: children and young adult women. Among the campaign’s biggest licensing successes so far has been Disaster Designs, which won best branded/character section in the GA 2010 Gift of the Year Awards for its Moomin fashion bags.

London & Partners
The best big city on Earth is now the focus for the best big sports event on Earth. London & Partners is the official promotional agency for London, attracting and delivering value to businesses, students and visitors. And Caroline Mickler Ltd, alongside London & Partners, is looking forward to a busy Olympics year for London — the city and the brand.

Mills & Boon
Mills & Boon is the UK's undisputed market leader in romance fiction and a publishing success story for over 100 years. It’s also an instantly recognisable name and a brand in its own right, which is why Caroline Mickler Ltd has been appointed to manage a licensing strategy that will leverage the enormous appeal of some of the most famous images in romantic publishing across a number of categories including apparel, homeware and gifts.

New for BLE 2011!
Two very significant and very different signings complete a powerful line-up at stand B085: the super-cute Zoodorables and the inspirational and multi-national Non-Violence Project.
Zoodorable is a fun, adorable and uplifting new character brand from the well-known US pop artist and illustrator Han L Lee. Lovable little monsters from another world, Zoodorables have already proved popular with girls aged seven to 16 in general and the tween market in particular.

The Non-Violence Project is an international youth-based organisation aimed at motivating, inspiring and engaging young people in positive alternatives to violence. Its signature logo is the well-known knotted gun symbol, which was created in 1980 by Swedish artist Carl Frederick Reutersward in memory of John Lennon. Knotted gun sculptures stand outside the United Nations in New York and at more than 30 other locations around the world.

BLE will not only be a showcase for the high-quality, high-profile brands represented by Caroline Mickler Ltd but will again underline the company’s skills in developing successful strategies for those brands. MD Caroline Mickler says: “Our understanding of brand positioning and our excellent relationships with manufacturers, retailers and licensees are the key to both our long-term relationships and the exciting new names that have come on board in the past year. We’re very much looking forward to sharing our enthusiasm and ideas for these brands with all our visitors at BLE.”
