Secures Cross-Media Sponsorship Deals With Major Brands For Launch Of Arab Idols

FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME), the brand extension arm of FremantleMedia, today announced a new deal with high quality stationery manufacturer, Goldbuch, to launch a range of Rebecca Bonbon branded products in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The Rebecca Bonbon stationery products, which will include a range of diaries and folders, will debut at Paperworld in January next year.

Dieckmann, VP of Licensing in Germany, FME, brokered the deals and said, “The Rebecca Bonbon brand is becoming incredibly popular across Germany, Austria and Switzerland and we are delighted to be working with Goldbuch on such high quality products, which perfectly reflect our brand strategy for the trendy French Bulldog, Rebecca. Goldbuch will extend our licensing programme in GAS and we look forward to a fruitful relationship.”

Rebecca Bonbon is the hugely popular Japanese character created by the original Hello Kitty designer Yuko Shimizu. An adorable French bulldog and super cute fashionista from Paris, she currently resides in a plush NYC apartment overlooking Central Park.

FME has exclusively represented Rebecca Bonbon globally (excluding Japan and Korea) on behalf of Crown Creative since 2008. Across EMEA Rebecca Bonbon has more than 25 licensees creating branded products such as apparel, jewellery, bags, bedding, blankets, credit card holders, iPhone covers, home decorations and accessories. In the US, FME is in its second year of an extensive girls' clothing and accessory program with Kmart. The brand enjoys great success in Japan with over 50 licensees, and has recently launched the first of its products in the UK.

In addition to Rebecca Bonbon, FME represents a number of third-party brands including The Adventures of Merlin, Bang on the Door, Mashimaro and Discovery brands including Miami Ink and LA Ink.
