Licensing@Russia Continues To Attract Big Names

Licensing@Russia - February 2012

The organisers of the forthcoming Licensing@Russia show have announced details of another major addition to the event programme.

Licensing@Russia will take place in Moscow on March 14-16, at the state-of-the-art Crocus Expo International Exhibition Centre – one of the biggest exhibition facilities in the world. The event promises a fascinating insight into the vast and largely untapped Russian and CIS markets and will include company and property presentations, screenings and a comprehensive conference programme designed for those within the region and international visitors to learn more about the local market.

It has now been revealed that the European Licensing Company (ELC) – one of the biggest licensing agencies in CEE and Russia – is to be an active partner in the event programme. As a result, representatives of three of the biggest names in world licensing – Turner Enterprises (Cartoon Network), Warner Bros. and Nike – will also make personal contributions; all three companies are ELC clients and see Licensing@Russia as the perfect opportunity to become better acquainted with this vital market.

Event partners Plus Licens and Rio Licensing are also taking an active role during Licensing@Russia, whilst other in attendance will include BRANDORA, Dreamworks, Hasbro, Megalicens, Art & Design RU, Carmen Ariza Licensing, Total Licensing, Studio 100, Entertainment One, Black & White Licensing/JELC, Vipoland, All Media Russia, Endemol, Tekma, Withit, Fremantle Media, CBA, Guide to the Licensing World, Mondo TV, The Bella Sara Company and BBC Worldwide.

The timing of show has been specifically set to coincide with other hugely important events taking place in the same pavilion at Crocus Expo and at the same time - most importantly Skrepka the International Stationery Expo and the Toys & Kids Russia 2012 – a synergy that is set to attract more than 15,000 professionals. Visitors to Licensing@Russia are set to be greeted by the owner of Crocus International Aras Agalarov – a highly respected and influential Russian businessman who will provide an overview of the business environment in this vast and important market.

“ELC is one of the top agencies operating in Russia and the wider region so it is fantastic to have them on board along with representatives of Warner Bros. Turner Enterprises and Nike,” says Zeljko William Krnjak from the LIMA New Europe office in Moscow. “This is further proof of just what a vital date in the licensing calendar Licensing@Russia has become and will undoubtedly lead to further interest from across the global licensing community.”

In addition to the toy and stationery events, the Crocus Expo Centre will also be playing host at the same time to the biggest specialized exhibitions in the souvenir market, household goods industry, houseware products and the fast food industry.

Licensing@Russia is the only licensing event in the region that has official LIMA representation in attendance. It is organised by a partnership between Magnum Opus company, Licensing New Europe and the SKREPKA EXPO.

Media and Communication partners include BRANDORA, Total Licensing, Guide to the Licensing World, Licensing Vestnik, EPM Communications, LICOM, CEE.TV, Business New Europe, BBCG, License Time, Total Licensing New Europe, Total Licensing Italy and Moscow in Your Pocket.
