Publishing and Home Entertainment Licensees Join the Global Charge
for HIT Entertainment’s Mike the Knight™

HIT Entertainment, one of the world’s leading children’s entertainment producers and rights-owners, has announced that it has signed a raft of new international home entertainment and publishing licensees for its hugely-successful pre-school property Mike the Knight. The new deals cover a range of European territories.

The new European licensees joining the triumphant line-up are:
For Home Entertainment, DVD: Lusomundo (Portugal), Cass (Poland), Svensk Filmindustri (Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark), OTC (Benelux).

The new European Publishing licensees include – Memphis Belle (Benelux) for storybooks, annuals, novelty board books; Hemma (Benelux) for colouring and activity books; MSZ (Poland, Romania and Hungary) for all format books and a monthly magazine; and finally Buster Nordic (Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Finland) for all format books.

In addition to the above, working alongside HIT Entertainment, Super RTL has secured the following licensees in Germany: Sony Music for Home Entertainment, Panini for kindergarten/friends books, sticker books and a magazine; Egmont for story books and activity books; and Nelson/Carlson for early reading books, magnet books, large format picture books and mini books.

It is testament to Mike the Knight’s wide appeal that some of the major names in publishing and home entertainment across Europe are choosing to saddle up with our gallant little hero.”

Co-produced with Corus Entertainment's Nelvana Studio, Mike the Knight is a 52 x 12' CGI series which transports viewers back in time to a magical medieval age. The son of the King and Queen of Glendragon, he is determined to follow in his father's footsteps to become a brave and noble knight. With the triumphant motto “Be a Knight, do it right!” the would-be hero is joined in his adventures by a host of characters including his trusty steed Galahad, two friendly dragons, Squirt and Sparkie, and his sister Evie, a trainee wizard.
