Saban Brands Celebrates UK Launch

  • Retailers Including Smyths, Toymaster and Debenhams Lining Up to Stock New Luna Petunia Line from Funrise Toys
  • Partnership with Popular UK YouTube Influencer Emily Tube

Saban Brands, in partnership with Cirque du Soleil Media, developed the preschool property “Cirque du Soleil Junior – Luna Petunia” which debuted on Netflix in December 2016 and is currently streaming its second season. With demand for consumer products now building, Saban Brands proudly details the UK launch strategy for the first line of toys inspired by the colourful, whimsical preschool series from global master toy partner, Funrise Toys.

Kicking off the UK merchandise roll-out this month, Smyths debuted Funrise Toys’ engaging and colourful toy range unveiling the Luna Petunia playsets, figures, plush, dolls and roleplay items available both in-stores and online. Funrise will be launching various marketing initiatives, from TV and in-cinema advertising to promotional campaigns with Tiny Pop, girl-targeted magazines and activities with influential mums. Bolstering the brand’s retail presence, the toy range will then launch with Amazon, Debenhams, Toymaster, Ken Black Toys and independent retailers in October.

To drive awareness of the launch, Saban Brands has teamed up with hugely popular YouTube influencer, Emily Tube, to showcase the brand-new toy range in a series of videos that went live between September 8th – 11th. Emily Tube has 4.25M subscribers on YouTube and highlighted key SKUs including the Luna Petunia Talking Doll, collectible figures, plush, Sparkle Gem Necklace and the Fabulosa Café playset. Seasons one and two of “Cirque du Soleil Junior – Luna Petunia” are now available on Netflix original series in over 190 countries and 19 languages. Set in a whimsical and fantastical world inspired by Cirque du Soleil’s unique creative kaleidoscope, the series follows the adventures of fun-loving Luna who, with help from her magic toy chest, enters the fantastic land of Amazia, where adventures, friendship and learning await. The show has transformed kids’ entertainment by empowering preschoolers to use their own creative potential to make the impossible possible, while also teaching them mindfulness tools, using the catchphrase, “stop, breathe and believe.”
