4Sight Licensing Solutions Signs First Three Licensees For Pachanga By Belén Mena, Unique Collection Of Art Inspired By The Beautiful Designs Of Cloud Forest Moths

4sight licensing solutions, a subsidiary of 4Kids Entertainment (KIDE.PK), has secured its first three licensees for Pachanga, the distinctive collection of artwork, illustrations, drawings and designs created from the natural designs and color patterns seen on the wings and bodies of over 300 different species of moths found in South America.

A3 Media has signed on to launch a Pachanga-themed app for Blackberry® smartphones along with mobile personalization content including wallpapers, animated screensavers and menu themes in all major territories worldwide; Atlas Wall Coverings has come onboard to produce wall murals incorporating the Pachanga imagery in all territories; and Art.com has signed on to create canvas prints and posters with the Rain Forest-based brand iconography across the globe.

The Pachanga collection - Pachanga means festive party in Spanish - was created by Ecuadorian artist Belén Mena in 2003, when she became captivated by the intense colors and intricate patterns of several moths during one moonlit evening. She spent the next five years in the forests of Ecuador observing, photographing, drawing and cataloging the moths which served as the inspiration for this collection of illustrations and patterns.

The extensive Pachanga design bank, with its moth-inspired collection of imagery, has been featured in a book from German publishing house Schmidt Verlag, which has earned several honors including a prestigious Gold Award at the 2008 International Forum of Design competition, along with an Honorable Mention at the Art Directors Club Deutschland.
