LIMA to Provide Licensing Advice and Support at Spring Fair International

LIMA UK - January 2012

Over 3,000 brands expected at the NEC, 3-7 February

LIMA (www.licensing.org), the international licensing association, will be playing a key role at Spring Fair International in Birmingham (3-7 February), providing a meeting point, licensing information and advice at its dedicated booth within the show’s popular Licensing Lounge.
Located in Hall 3 of the NEC, the Licensing Lounge will once again provide a lively focal point for brand owners, licensing agents, suppliers seeking new licences and retailers keen to learn more about the hottest licensed properties and characters to suit their stores. It is also supported by media partners including Guide to the Licensing World and the Licensing Source Book.

Licensors already signed up to showcase their brands include: CPLG, BBC Worldwide, Warner Bros, the Science Museum, the National Railway Museum, the Imperial War Museum, the Victoria & Albert Museum and Carte Blanche Group.

Well known licensing industry consultant, Keith Pashley, will host the Licensing Lounge for the second year running, providing expert advice for visitors seeking guidance through this fascinating but often complex market field.

Exhibitors will have their own space within the Lounge to display their key properties and hold meetings with existing and prospective licensees. There will also be a communal seating area and refreshment facilities for visitors.

On Monday 4 February from 5.00 onwards the organiser of The Licensing Awards and publisher of the Licensing Source Book, Max Publishing, will host a drinks reception for leading lights of the licensing industry, providing an ideal networking opportunity for licensors and their clients.

Kelvyn Gardner, Managing Director of LIMA UK, comments, “The Licensing Lounge at Spring Fair International is an essential resource for anyone who wants to know more about licensing.”

“Last year’s inaugural Licensing Lounge proved that there is a clear need for more basic licensing information within the wider retail industry. By attending events such as these and having experts on hand, we can spread the message about the benefits of licensing and dispel any myths.”

Greg Saint, Event Director, adds: “For the second year running we are delighted to present The Licensing Lounge at Spring Fair International. With over 3,000 brands at the show the Lounge provides a focal point for Licensors to meet with existing and potential Licensees, and also is a great place for retailers to find out about the benefits, facts and figures of selling licensed products in their stores. Spring Fair International is the must attend event for everyone in the Home and Gift retail sectors, and with Licensing increasingly playing a vital role in multiple markets it makes perfect sense to have this dedicated area for it at our show.”
