Record breaking Twitter event for Disney Junior’s Doc McStuffins BRANDORA Editorial Staff - October 2014

 
Flair and Disney teamed-up with Twitter specialists, UKMUMS.tv this week to create the highest deliveries reported for a Twitter party for a children’s product, reaching over 1.8 million unique accounts.

Doctober is a very special month for Doc McStuffins and both Disney and Flair are participating in the celebrations. Just some of the activities taking place include brand new episodes of Doc McStuffins airing on Disney Junior, media activities on UKMums.tv, a Doc McStuffins Mobile Clinic DVD release, new elements to the Disney Junior app and brand new toys from toy manufactures Flair in toy shops across the UK.

A colossal 13.8 million Twitter impressions reached 1.8 million unique accounts between 4 and 6pm on Thursday 2nd October 2014; all tweets using the hashtag #Doctober in celebration of the upcoming new toys in the GP Flair collection and a month of Doc McStuffins events from Disney.

The activity began last week when 15 party hosts received what they described as their “best ever party kit” from Flair and Disney. This contained all the latest toys, including the Doc McStuffins Carry Along Clinic, Doc Walk n Talk Doll plus more toys and party extras from Disney, which helped set the theme for an impressive social media event.

As the party began the Doctober hashtag trended immediately and stayed in pace of the UK’s top 10 trends as the sixth top trend throughout the two hours.

We are delighted to also hear the comments from those that took part; enthusing about the new Doc McStuffins Flair toy collection for autumn.”

The Doc McStuffins Twitter party was just one of two social media activities that Flair has parented with Disney on within the past two weeks. On Thursday 18th September #Sofiasmicroworld trended in celebration of another of GP Flair’s latest expansions for its Sofia the First Disney collection.

Brand new episodes of Doc McStuffins are airing every weekday during October at 4.55pm on Disney Junior.
