The Job

The role is a sales & business development role, that includes developing, selling and executing Social and E-Commerce Plans with 3rd party online retailers, omnichannel retailers, marketplaces and licensees’ ecommerce business across all key categories with the aim to deliver increased traffic and revenue for Warner Bros. properties in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The Daily

Ecommerce / Social Commerce management:

  • Develop and deploy a consistent business plan to grow Warner Bros presence and relevance on the Online and Social commerce channel across all licensed categories.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key online customers, lead activity plans and execution.
  • Deliver ecommerce annual sales growth and targets for key ecommerce customers, ensuring WB wins shares and visibility for the brands within top customers.
  • Analyze pureplayers’ and other e-retailers’ performance and create recommendations.
  • Work with key partners on data tracking (licensee, e-tailers), to create a full customer-funnel analytics tracker and recommend regular optimization.
  • Onboard new high-potential customers either for distribution of existing products or for direct to retail deals.
  • Analyze and deliver social commerce campaigns/programs: set them up, track and optimize their performance, in order to deliver a healthy ROI.
  • Create performance dashboards and provide commercial teams with actionable insights.
  • Focus on all key categories to develop incremental business.

Cross-divisional and licensees coordination:

  • Engage, influence and collaborate with the internal local marketing and franchise teams to formulate customer specific digital toolboxes and brand activation plans for key commercial initiatives.
  • Collaborate with local offices of WB licensees and/or their distributors based in the territory to ensure the successful implementation of the online business development strategy.
  • Work with key licensing partners to rally their support and funding on locked ecommerce/social commerce activations.

Operational responsibilities:

  • Manage the trade marketing budget for dedicated accounts with the aim of maximizing its efficiency.
  • Close collaboration with category teams to shape product offering by accounts
  • Establish real time measure performance dashboards in order to measure efficiency and profitability of the actions implemented. Recommend subsequent strategies & action plan for each client.

The Essentials

  • Business Studies (BA, MA) with strong focus on sales and marketing.
  • Proven sales and account management experience with demonstrable results in e-commerce and/or social media.
  • Experience at working with multifunctional teams both internally and externally to deliver results.
  • Strong ability to work with data, analyze and draw conclusions even based on limited data.
  • Ability to thrive in a competitive, dynamic, changing environment.
  • Future thinking – outside in perspective, ability to think ahead and test and learn with new opportunities.
  • A strong communicator able to influence people at all levels within organisations.
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task and prioritise.
  • Fluent in both English and German

  • Previous ecommerce/social commerce role in pureplay, online retail channel or marketplace preferred.
