3 Little Words Partners with Firefly Brand Management
3 Little Words, the American version of the popular Brazilian children’s brand 3 Palavrinhas, is thrilled to announce it has secured a new licensing partnership with Firefly Brand Management, a leading U.S.-based licensing agency. The collaboration aims to expand the licensing universe of 3 Palavrinhas on a global scale.
Firefly maintains licensing rights for the US (and its territories) and will seek key licensing partners for all product categories for the famed brand, including: Apparel, Toys and Publishing as our key focus. Firefly will be attending the Christian Products Expo in February 2025 in Florida in hopes of laying a strategic foundation for the brand.
3 Palavrinhas, a beloved children’s brand that has become a part of daily life for over 30 million Brazilian families, is now winning the hearts of American children through 3 Little Words. With nearly 1 million families already engaged through its English songs and animated videos, and a loyal subscriber base of over 240,000, this new partnership reflects the brand’s growing success in the United States. The goal is not only to meent the product demands of its new fans but also to share positive values and messages that support children’s development.
Firefly, the global licensing agency based in California, holds a prominent position in the U.S. market. Its founder, Cynthia Modders, is a key figure in the history of product licensing. She played a pivotal role in launching Barbie’s licensing program with Mattel and has worked with iconic properties such as The Simpsons, Strawberry Shortcake, Naruto, Jurassic Park, Paul Frank, NBC Universal, Sonic, Twentieth Century Fox, and more. Modders sees significant potential in working with the brand, highlighting a gap in the licensing market: “We are so excited to be working on 3 little words as there is currently a lack of faith based properties in the marketplace,” she stated. In addition to it’s partnership with Firefly, 3 Little Words secured a distribution deal in mid-2024 with TBN, the world’s largest Christian television network, capable of reaching over 2 billion viewers daily, to further enhance its global content reach.
Cecília Bohrer, Global Head of Digital Distribution and Marketing at Oinc Filmes and the driving force behind the international expansion of 3 Palavrinhas, is enthusiastic about the brand's achievements. “The growth of 3 Little Words in the U.S. over just two years has been remarkable. When I compare these results with the early years of 3 Palavrinhas in Brazil, it’s clear that the knowledge gained over Oinc Filmes’ 10-year history has significantly boosted the growth of all our new brands,” Bohrer commented. She projects the launch of 3 Palavrinhas in 10 additional languages by 2030.
