Moonscoop Announces New Licensing Partners For Hero:108™ In France

Moonscoop, the worldwide brand management and entertainment company representing properties from some of the leading animation producers across the globe, has signed a raft of new licensees in France for Hero:108, as production continues on a 52x11’ second season of the comedy/action adventure series.

New licensees include a pan-European deal for costumes with Cesar, and for France apparel with Blues Fillobranca, Maroquinerie Luc d’Arvillers for Back to school bags, Skates, Inline Rollers for D’Arpege and Costumed characters with Evasion Communication.

Brigitte Legendre-Benloulou, Director Consumer Products at Moonscoop said: “Following a strong launch last year across both TV and gaming, consumer products activity on Hero:108 is gaining even more momentum in 2011 and will be boosted by the launch of the second season. We already have some strong partners in place and welcome our new licensees in France and across Europe as we aim to further expand the presence of the brand this year.”

Licensees already on board include Playmates for worldwide master toy (distributed by Giochi Preziosi in France, Spain and Italy), Atlantyca Entertainment for worldwide publishing and Mad Engine for T-Shirts in the USA and Canada amongst others.

Moonscoop, Turner Broadcasting, Gamania and Telegael are currently in production on the second season of Hero:108 following the successful launch of the first season of 52x11’ episodes on Turner Broadcasting channels in the US, the UK and further international territories including Latin America, Germany, Italy, CEE, Iberia, Middle East, Asia and Africa earlier this year.

Other international broadcasters to air the series include Boing channels in Italy and Spain, and the Boing block on Gulli in France, Kabel 1 in Germany, CITV in the UK, the Middle East’s MBC3, Mexico’s Televisa and PT Crown Entertainment for Indonesia.

Hero:108 is supported by a groundbreaking promotional platform. Hero:108 Online, a Massively Multi-Player Online Game (MMOG) developed by RedGate Games -- a subsidiary of Gamania Digital Entertainment, one of the largest publishers of online multi-player games in Asia.

Both groundbreaking and visually stunning, Hero:108 follows the outrageous adventures of a group of brave young defenders determined to end a conflict between animals and humans in The Hidden Kingdom. The group known as “First Squad” includes Lin Chung, Mighty Ray, Mystique Sonia, Mr. NoHands and Jumpy Ghostface. The series features striking Asian-influenced character designs created by show creator Phoenix Tarng, who is also part of Gamania’s in-house creative development team.
