SpongeBob SquarePants goes pop in Germany

Nickelodeon Consumer Products Germany has signed a SpongeBob SquarePants deal with major kitchen equipment and accessory licensee Lutter & Partner.

The deals, covering Germany, Switzerland and Austria, include a SpongeBob SquarePants branded popcorn maker, waffle maker and a sandwich maker, all distributed on behalf of Linmark Products and available at retail from May.

In addition, the deal includes a SpongeBob SquarePants radio alarm clock.

Lutter & Partner is also supplying a range of SpongeBob SquarePants branded personal care products for children covering electric toothbrushes, hairdryers, forehead thermometers and children’s hair clippers. The products include a range of SpongeBob SquarePants stickers.

Playtime in Spain with NCP

Nickelodeon Consumer Products Spain has signed deals for Dora the Explorer and SpongeBob SquarePants that will take the properties to the beaches and playgrounds of Spain and Portugal this summer.

Dora the Explorer beach towels, poncho towels, jellies and beach bags will hit the beaches following a deal with The Beach Factory that sees a new size towel designed specifically for girls aged two to six.

And in a deal that covers Portugal and Spain with licensee Juguetes y Peluches La Gran Familia, Dora the Explorer branded inflatable products – from balls and armbands to surf boards and mattresses – will also hit the beach.

Young SpongeBob SquarePants fans in Spain will be able to enjoy a range of toys from bowling sets to play tents and adventure and explorer kits, following a deal with licensee Cefa Toys.

Meanwhile, SpongeBob SquarePants floor lamps, ceiling lamps, wall lamps and plug lamps from licensee Dalber are now selling in Spain and Portugal.
