Rubicon Appoints Shin Ueno Global Marketing & Brand Management Dircetor

Rubicon Group Holding has appointed Shin Ueno to the newly created position of Global Marketing & Brand Management Director; it was announced by Randa Ayoubi, CEO.

Based in Los Angeles at the company’s U.S. division, Rubicon Studios, Ueno will lead the development and execution of global marketing strategies for Rubicon’s growing roster of proprietary properties. He will seek to acquire intellectual properties and cultivate strategic partnerships around the world, and will manage communication initiatives in both traditional and emerging communications platforms. Ueno will report to Randa Ayoubi, CEO, as well as David Corbett, Executive Director for North America and Europe.

“Rubicon is well positioned for growth and Shin will play a vital role in driving our advancement in the global marketplace. We look forward to great success under his guidance of our worldwide branding efforts,” said Ayoubi.

Ueno comes to Rubicon with over 20 years of experience in marketing and licensing. He has created and spearheaded consumer brand programs that achieved sales in excess of $1 billion over a seven-year period. Most recently, Ueno served as Vice President of Brand Management at 4Kids Entertainment, Inc.

Prior to his tenure at 4Kids, Ueno spent a number of years with toy companies including Jada Toys, Inc., Playhut, Inc. and Hasbro, Inc. He also served as Vice President of Research & Development at JAKKS Pacific, managing product development from concept to delivery. Ueno began his career in marketing at Bandai America Inc. as Marketing Manager and was later re-hired as Vice President of Marketing.

He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from the University of California in Los Angeles (UCLA).
