The Foundation, part of the Zodiak Media Group, is delighted to announce the appointment of Steven Andrew as Creative Director.
Prior to joining the BBC, Steven was Programme Director, ITV Digital Channels where he was responsible for a wide range of programmes and channels. During his tenure, CiTV became the No. 1 commercial children’s channel and ITV2 secured Broadcast magazine’s Channel of the Year award. Previous roles at ITV included Controller, Off Peak, ITV (overseeing ITV1 daytime and launching hit shows such as Paul O’Grady and Jeremy Kyle) and Controller, CiTV where he commissioned a wide range of programmes such as the BAFTA award-winning My Life As A Popat. Steven started his television career as a producer on long-running BBC children’s drama Grange Hill before becoming Controller, Granada Media Children’s in 1999 where he created shows for CiTV, the BBC and Channel 4 including co-creating long running CiTV brand My Parents are Aliens. Steven joins The Foundation this spring, working to Joint Managing Directors Vanessa Hill and Ged Allen. Vanessa Hill said: “It’s paramount to The Foundation to have the highest quality people focussing on how best to drive our new business forward and Steven will be a real asset to the team.” Ged Allen adds “We look forward to working with Steven to build on our long-standing commitment to family and kids programming, while continuing to establish The Foundation as a leader in this field.” Nigel Pickard, CEO Zodiak MEAA/UK Family and Kids said: “I’m absolutely delighted that we’ve been able to attract someone of Steven’s calibre to the Group.
