The Toy Industry Association (TIA) is partnering with the Licensing Industry Merchandiser’s Association (LIMA) to offer a new TIA/LIMA business lounge at the American International Toy Fair, which takes place February 13-16, 2011, Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, New York City.

The TIA/LIMA lounge is a joint service for TIA and LIMA members in recognition of the longstanding relationship between the toy and licensing industries, providing members from both organizations with the opportunity to network during the show.

“The top children’s product licensors from around the world have been coming to Toy Fair for years,” said Carter Keithley, TIA President. “The joint TIA/LIMA lounge will be a convenient place for licensors and licensees to gather, and who knows what kinds of business deals might result. I have always admired the way Charles Riotto of LIMA brings the licensing communities together in networking events, and I am delighted that we are putting this facility together jointly.”

The lounge will be located on Level 1 in Rooms 1A04 & 1A05 and will open on Saturday, February 12 through the close of the show. Amenities will include a concierge service, copier, computer with Internet access, coffee, cellular phone charging stations and basic office supplies.

“The lounge will provide a convenient working environment for LIMA members, apart from the frenetic pace of the show floor,” said Charles Riotto, LIMA President. “It will also allow our members a place to collaborate on ideas and make the most productive use of their Toy Fair hours, along with networking opportunities and possible business connections with other licensing professionals and TIA members. We look forward to cooperating with TIA in other areas in the future.”

Toy Fair is set to take place February 13-16, 2011 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
