Hari’s World Grows Bigger With Release Of New SafetySack®

Hari’s World – the colourful and fun brand starring lovable elephant Hari – is set to make an even bigger impact in schools and libraries across the UK with the release of a new pack of interactive materials called the SafetySack®.

Hari is a bumbling little elephant who stars in a series of books that follow his day to day adventures and those of a supporting cast of equally loveable characters. These colourful and exciting books are all about having fun and enjoying life but are also particularly innovative as subtle safety messages are woven into every adventure that show children how to avoid unintended injury.

The books have proved hugely popular with schools, libraries and nurseries and interactive readings by the Hari’s World team have been much in demand. This has led to the production of the new SafetySack®, which contains books, hand puppets, games, puzzles and special ‘hunt the hazard’ boards - all tucked away in a colourful Hari’s World Sack. This allows teachers, librarians, carers and parents to carry out readings themselves and use interactive elements to bring Hari’s adventures to life. The first SafetySack® is already available on the high street and a brand new one featuring a different range of goodies will be released as each new book in the series is published.

This is just the latest addition to the Hari’s World range – the first three books in the series and a fantastic plush range from Dowman Soft Touch are already available in retail outlets across the UK, including gift shops, garden centres and major animal attractions. Discussions are also well under way with a string of major high street retailers who are interested in stocking the products.

The team at Hari’s World is looking to extend the property across various other sectors and with ten books planned initially, and with new characters introduced through each adventure, the brand has huge potential across categories such as interactive toys, collectables, board games, musical products, and interactive games and applications. The aim is to link Hari’s World with products that serve to compliment the brand’s unique image and message.

“Hari’s World is more popular than ever - children absolutely love it and schools are very keen to get involved because not only is it tremendous fun but also has the subtle safety element in each story, which is a great way to show children how to avoid unintended injury,” says Tristan-Sean McGee, Managing Director of Hari’s World.
