Bulldog Licensing is adding to its portfolio of market-leading brands in the shape of the photographic library LIFE – the largest collection of professional photography in the world. The images, many of which were made famous by the world renowned LIFE magazine, include some of the world’s most recognisable photographs.
In licensing terms the brand has huge potential and in the US, where a programme is already up and running, the property is already represented across a wide range of sectors, including fashion, apparel, homewares and gifting. “This is a massive signing for us,” says Bulldog MD Rob Corney, “LIFE is the world’s most respected source of compelling photojournalism and that opens up a huge range of licensing possibilities. We’ll be looking to extend the property over a wide range of categories and already have interest from potential partners across apparel, bags, accessories and publishing. This promises to be just the start - greetings, gifts, ceramics and homewares also spring to mind but the potential really is vast, the sky’s the limit with this one!” |
