CPLG: The Power is back! Power Rangers Samurai debuts at #1

The Power Rangers Samurai series premiere in the U.S. popped with boys, won the time period and drew solid adult numbers.

  • The premiere was ranked #1 with boys 2-11 and boys 6-11 in the time period across all TV
  • Ratings were up with boys vs. Disney (Cars Movie) by +7% with B2-11 and +34% with B6-11
  • Power Rangers was up double-digits across all key kids demos versus Cartoon Network premieres of Adventure Time/Mad
  • Overall , the 8p episode earned a 4.53 K2-11 rating, 5.39 B2-11 rating, 5.06 K6-11 rating, 6.10 B6-11 rating and delivered 2.8 million total viewers
  • The launch brought in solid adult numbers too, earning a .57 A18-49 rating and a .61 male 18-49 rating (for comparison, this is up +8% and +61% from year ago, respectively).

On Nick.com, the Power Rangers experienced triple digit weekly growth in online metrics.

The Nick.com game, Power Rangers Samurai: Rangers Together, Samurai Forever launched on Thursday Feb 3rd. In only 5 days, it brought in more than 1M game sessions, and is currently the #1 game across Nick Digital (Thu-Mon).
