Pink Panther & Pals, the first new Pink Panther series in seventeen years, took the top prize in four categories at the 2011 KidScreen Awards held February 17, 2011 in New York City; it was announced by Rubicon Entertainment CEO Randa Ayoubi.

Pink Panther & Pals garnered an impressive four awards including Best Animated Series in the Preschool Category and Best Preschool Program in the Viewers Choice Category. In the Creative Talent Category, Ron Brewer won Best Directing and David Ricard won Best Music.

“We are truly honored to be recognized with these prestigious awards which pay tribute to outstanding content from around the world that entertains and engages children and their families. It is especially gratifying to have worked with MGM on bringing the classic and timeless Pink Panther property to a whole new generation of young viewers,” said Ayoubi.

Pink Panther & Pals continues the hilarious adventures of one of the most-beloved animated characters of all time, the one-and-only Pink Panther. In his new incarnation, Pink Panther is a bit younger – more teen than grown-up. But while he may be young, he has all the attributes that made the grown-up pink panther the icon that he is today – cool and savvy, curious and confident.

“Winning the top prize in the Viewers Choice Category is proof that our dedication to great storytelling, great animation and great comedy will result in a series that resonates with kids,” said Rubicon Entertainment Executive Director for North America and Europe, David Corbett. “It was my goal from the beginning to ensure that we brought something fresh to the character while staying true to the original and I’m proud of the entire creative and production team in Los Angeles, Amman and Manila for their dedication to making that vision a reality.”

A Rubicon Entertainment/Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Pictures (MGM) co-production, Pink Panther & Pals was produced at Rubicon Studios, Los Angeles; Rubicon Studios Manila, Philippines; and Rubicon Studios Amman, Jordan.

Pink Panther & Pals is based upon the animated Pink Panther character created by David DePatie and Friz Freleng and the Pink Panther films of Blake Edwards. David J. Corbett, Isam S. Ayoubi and Walter Mirisch served as Executive Producers with Joe Patrick, Executive Vice President of Domestic Television, overseeing the series for MGM, and Randa Ayoubi, CEO, in that role for Rubicon Entertainment.
