On January 19th, Charuca attended the gala charity "Children's Smile" in London, invited by Sanrio Foundation. This event was held to raise funds for the foundation, which is devoted to bring a smile to children admitted to hospitals in the world's poorest places, by giving them surprises, gifts, decorating rooms and organizing parties with Sanrio’s characters.
During the dinner party, attendees were encouraged to participate in this cause through a charity auction of works by various artists all inspired by <"Hello Kitty", the most popular of Sanrio’s characters. One of the pieces that were more successfully auctioned was the crossover between Hello Kitty and Charuca titled "So happy together". The piece was able to raise a considerable amount of pounds that will be addressed to put a smile on the faces of needy children.
Charuca felt particularly pleased to be partnering with such a good cause: "I left the party happy to have contributed with such a good cause because there is nothing better than transforming art in the smile of a child".
