Street Surfing Announces Sponsorship Around Nickelodeon´s 2011 Kids´ Choice Awards

Viacom International Media Networks, a unit of Viacom Inc. (NYSE: VIA, VIA.B), today announced Street Surfing as the pan European sponsor of the Nickelodeon 2011 Kids’ Choice Awards (KCAs).

Nickelodeon’s premier sponsorship opportunity offers Street Surfing the perfect platform from which to launch its new Wave™ Scooter* in Europe, through a unique, and fully integrated pan-European marketing campaign.

This joint partnership will feature seamless integration across all Nickelodeon platforms. Street Surfing’s new Wave Scooter will be featured on all promotional activity in the build up to the Awards ceremony, including on-air billboards, all marketing and press materials, and presence on KCAs international online destinations.

The sponsorship also includes an online competition with the unique chance for the lucky winner and their family to attend the KCAs in Los Angeles on April 2. The Grand Prize winner will also be the first to road test Street Surfing’s new Wave Scooter through a test course in Los Angeles the day before the show.

The Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards is broadcast in more than 300 million households globally on Nickelodeon channels around the world. Nickelodeon in Canada will air the 2011 KCAs live and special localized versions of the show, featuring regional categories and winners, will air in select markets across Europe. Fans around the world will have the opportunity to vote online, through local web sites, to decide which of their favourite nominees takes home the coveted KCA blimp.

Nickelodeon’s 24th Annual Kids’ Choice Awards is being produced by Nickelodeon Productions in association with Bob Bain Productions. This year’s telecast will feature Saturday Night Live veteran Beth McCarthy as director. Bob Bain, Marjorie Cohn and Paula Kaplan are executive producers.
