Studio100 Media And Turkish Broadcaster TRT Activate License Agreement For Re-Mastered Classics

Studio100 Media and leading national broadcaster Turkish Radio Television Corporation (TRT) have signed a license agreement for three of its classic animation properties.

The license agreement brokered in Istanbul with TRT’s Director General, Ibrahim Sahin, Deputy Director General, Dr. Zeynel Koc and Managing Director of Studio100 Media, Patrick Elmendorff covers the newly re-mastered animation series’ Maya the Bee (78 x 11’), Vicky the Viking (78 x 11’) and Heidi (78 x 11’).

As a result of the established and long standing relationship between TRT and Studio100 Media, delegates Ibrahim Sahin, General Director, Dr. Zeynel Koc, Deputy General Director (Programming), Mehmet Canpolat, Deputy General Director (Financing) and Ms Semra Güzel Korver, Project Manager, recently visited the Munich offices where they were introduced to the company’s activities.

One of the joint ventures between the two companies was the puppet series Big & Small, a Kindle Entertainment co-production in co-operation with Studio100, the BBC and 3D Productions. TRT participated in the co-financing of the project.

In signing the agreement Studio100 Media is extending its successful relationship, its strategic co-operation and placing the collaboration with the Turkish broadcaster on a stable basis for the future.

Stars of the well-known classic television shows, Maya the Bee, Vicky the Viking and Heidi all boast a TV career spanning over 30 years and in their new animated series these much loved characters will be revived and modernized in 3D animation respectively.

The three new re-mastered animations will be produced by Studio100 and will be available for delivery mid 2012, 2013 and 2014 respectively.
