An a-MAZE-ing 25 years of Labyrinth

Ravensburger AG - March 2011

One ingenious idea becomes nineteen: Since its debut 25 years ago the “Ravensburger’s Labyrinth” has started an illustrious family of 19 independent games. Counting all foreign-language editions, Ravensburger generated even more than 60 different editions for the worldwide market. Shortly after the overwhelming success of the original game Prof. Max J. Kobbert began working on additional Labyrinth games. And the dreaded “cannibalisation effect” – a new version squeezes the original game out of the market - did not occur: The original idea still appeals to millions of people from all over the world. The current Labyrinth family is comprised of exceedingly large and extremely small Labyrinth games, amazingly fast and highly competitive games – and soon an electronic game as well:
