FremantleMedia Enterprises (FME) announced today a major distribution deal with Disney Channel for Fresh TV’s genre-busting adventure-comedy My Babysitter’s A Vampire. Taking a bite out of pop culture phenomena like Twilight, and hair-raising movies in general, the Fresh TV-produced title will be presented on Disney Channels or Disney XD channels around the world.

My Babysitter’s A Vampire is a fun, family-friendly tween and teen live action that will remind kids everywhere that no matter what kind of supernatural villains the world has in store, the scariest thing of all is still: High School!

The 13 x 30 minute series and accompanying 1 x 90 minute movie will launch to core teen and tween audiences on Disney-owned channels in the United States, Latin America, the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand, Central & Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa, the Netherlands and Nordic territories.

Bob Higgins, SVP Children and Family Entertainment, FME commented, “We couldn’t ask for a better global launch partner than Disney Channel for this show. They have an incredible track record and reach that will bring this smart, funny, fast-paced action series to the perfect target audience, growing the brand around the world.”

Executive Producer and President of Fresh TV Inc., Tom McGillis said, “We at Fresh are psyched that our first live-action project is going global with Disney. Tweens around the world are about to get a vampire adventure-comedy they can call their own.”

FME also has global rights (excluding Canada) for home entertainment and brand licensing and is looking for partners across other brand extension platforms.

My Babysitter’s A Vampire was created by Tom McGillis and Jennifer Pertsch, and developed by Fresh TV and Tim Burns, in association with TELETOON Canada Inc. Executive Producers are McGillis, Pertsch, Brian Irving and George Elliott, as well as FME’s EVP Children & Family Entertainment Sander Schwartz and Higgins; Co-Executive Producer is Tim Burns, Associate Producer is Robin McLeod and Producers Manny Danelon and Irving.

FME is establishing a next generation model for the creative development, acquisition, production, and distribution of quality content in the children’s and family entertainment space. With programming that will target demographics ranging in scope from pre-school through high school, FME is bringing innovative and original content to fruition while continuing to expand upon its global portfolio.
