CPLG, licensing agent for hugely successful kids’ property Horrid Henry, has brokered a deal with toiletries specialist SERT-MST that will see a range of branded Horrid Henry merchandise hit UK shelves this summer.

Horrid Henry is based on characters created by author Francesca Simon and has become a major international brand. The books are available in 27 countries with sales exceeding 16 million units in the UK alone, whilst the three times BAFTA nominated TV series produced by Novel Entertainment is CiTV’s most popular show ever and has been sold to broadcasters across the world. Horrid Henry’s profile is set to grow even bigger with the summer release of a 3D live-action film that features an all-star cast including Anjelica Huston, Richard E. Grant, Kimberley Walsh and Dick & Dom.

The new range from SERT-MST will include shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrushes, wipes, handwash, bubble bath, plasters and shower gel, with products set to hit the shelves at the same time as the film’s release.

"We are thrilled to be working with the Horrid Henry brand and are developing a range of items that are sure to appeal to his millions of fans," says SERT-MST Managing Director Sabir Tayub.

This latest deal adds to a wide ranging Horrid Henry licensing programme, which includes toys from Flair, apparel from SilverKnit, nightwear and underwear from TDP Aykroyd, t-shirts and jumpers from Fabric Flavours, hand and finger puppets from Fiesta Crafts, games and puzzles from Jumbo, cards and giftwrap from Woodmansterne, music from EMI Records, video games from Asylum Entertainment, and a range of DVDs from Abbey Kids.

“This is a fantastic addition to the Horrid Henry licensing programme,” says John Taylor, Partnerships Manager at CPLG, “Henry is always getting himself dirty so a toiletries range fits in perfectly and kids will be keen to add a bit of fun to bath time with these new products!”
