The license agreement finalized at MIPTV 2011 gives ORF exclusive FreeTV and German language rights for Austria for the newly re-mastered 3D animation series’ Maya the Bee (78 x 11’) and Vicky the Viking (78 x 11’). Having built a successful relationship with ORF over the years, Studio100 Media has with this agreement set the co-operation with the Austrian broadcaster on a stable basis for the long term. Stars of the well-known classic television shows, Maya the Bee and Vicky the Viking boast a TV career spanning over 30 years and in their new animated series these much loved characters will be revived and modernized in 3D animation respectively. The two new re-mastered animations will be produced by Studio100 Animation S.A.S. in association with TF1 and ZDF and will be available for delivery at the end of 2012 and at the end of 2013 respectively. Commenting on the agreement, Patrick Elmendorff, Managing Director of Studio100 Media said, “This co-operation reflects the long term regard and partnership that we have with ORF. Countless viewers have grown up with Maya and Vicky and we can now look forward to reuniting them with their childhood heroes with their modernized and revived look on ORF”. |
