Studio100 Media Secures "Junior" License Agreement With UPC Cablecom, Switzerland

Studio100 Media has concluded an agreement with Switzerland’s largest cable network operator, upc cablecom, to license the rights for distributing the PayTV kids branded channel, ‘Junior TV’ on all digital platforms of upc cablecom in Switzerland.

The agreement brokered at MIPTV 2011 with Pascal Amrein, Director of Content at upc cablecom and Patrick Elmendorff, Managing Director of Studio100 Media, covers the German speaking broadcast rights for the PayTV channel ‘Junior TV’.

Commencing in May 2011 the contract grants upc cablecom the rights to distribute the Junior Channel on the company’s cable systems and via broadband. As part of the deal Studio100 Media will supply high quality children and family programming including classic animation titles such as “Maya The Bee”, “Heidi” and “Tabaluga”, as well successful hit pre-school series such as “Zigby”, “Bumba”, “Plop”, “Bibi Blocksberg” and the teen telenovela “Amika”.
