eOne Family Sign Raft of New International Broadcast Deals

Presence at MIPTV last month has generated a series of exciting new international sales for Entertainment One (eOne) Family. The licensor has been busy signing a roster of new broadcast deals, renewals and in-flight sales for its strong portfolio of children’s entertainment shows including Peppa Pig, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom, Humf, Lost and Found and Tractor Tom.

Pre-school favourite Peppa Pig continues to win over audiences worldwide and series four has recently been signed by broadcasters including WDR in Germany, RTV in Slovenia, TV Catalunya and RTE in Ireland, with WDR and RTV also picking up series three. A number of renewals have also been signed on Peppa Pig. Series one has been renewed by Nick Jr in the UK, YLE in Finland, TV Works in New Zealand and ABC in Australia with TV Works and ABC also renewing series two.

With over 160 broadcast territories already signed, Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom will continue to extend its reach into Central and Eastern Europe in a deal that will see Dexy handle broadcast and DVD rights for the pre-school animated show across Serbia, Bosnia, Montenegro and Macedonia. The series will also begin airing on RTE in Ireland and in Welsh on S4C.

Further international broadcast sales include Tractor Tom, the pre-school animated series set on a farm, which will premiere in Gaelic on TG4 Ireland, Humf which will re-launch on BBC Kids in Canada and join Ben and Holly’s Little Kingdom on Welsh channel S4C and lastly the BAFTA award-winning half hour animated special Lost and Found has been acquired by Al Jazeera in the Middle East, TPBS in Thailand and RTSR in Switzerland.

In addition to the numerous broadcast deals, eOne Family has also secured in-flight sales for Ben & Holly’s Little Kingdom and Tractor Tom. Episodes will be shown on flights with Emirates airline and Air Mauritius.
