The exciting and imaginative series of books, which follows the adventures of Hari the Elephant and friends, is all about having fun and enjoying life but is also particularly innovative as subtle safety messages are woven into every adventure. The new title follows Hari and his friends as they enjoy a day at the park and children are sure to love the brightly coloured illustrations and fun storyline. The book follows on from three other Hari’s World titles in the current publishing programme that is set to total ten books. The Hari’s World Series and a plush range from licensing partner Dowman Soft Touch is available in retail outlets across the country, including gift shops, garden centres and major animal attractions including Drummond Safari Park, Edinburgh Zoo and The Deep Aquarium in Hull. In addition, discussions are well under way with major high street retailers who are interested in stocking the products, whilst Dowman is introducing Hari’s World to markets in Europe. Further licensing opportunities are being explored in categories such as interactive toys, collectables, board games, musical products, and interactive games and applications. Growing awareness of Hari’s World has resulted in the Royal Life Saving Society (RLSS) endorsing the third book in the Series - ‘Hari at the Beach’ - and placing this title and plush in its clubs, activity centres and summer road shows across the UK. Hari is also set for a starring role at the forthcoming EXPO ED on May 25th, which is organised by the Eastern Shires Purchasing Organisation (ESPO) and is one of the largest educational shows in the UK, featuring major suppliers from Nursery, Primary and Secondary sectors. Hari will be cutting the ‘green’ tape to open the event whilst Managing Director Tris McGee will be a keynote speaker, addressing the benefits of interactive learning for children. “The publication of Hari at the Park is sure to boost Hari’s profile even further,” says Tris McGee, “the beauty of the brand is that it carries a meaningful message in a fun way and in so doing it works just as well in the education sector as it does through conventional retail channels - this flexibility and the unique way the Hari’s World message is conveyed is creating a lot of interest and recent activity both home and abroad clearly shows that our brand is capturing the imagination of consumers, retailers and licensees!” |
