Award-winning funny man Greg Davies is to host The Licensing Awards this year on September 13th in The Great Room of London’s prestigious Grosvenor House Hotel.

Greg’s acting credits include the cult role of Mr Gilbert in the British Comedy Award winning The Inbetweeners on E4 and he is currently promoting the highly anticipated Inbetweeners movie set for general release this year. He also appeared in the sketch based sitcom We are Klang on BBC3.

A popular guest panellist on shows including Mock the Week and Never Mind The Buzzcocks, Greg is also a regular on the live touring circuit and is enjoying continued success with his multi award winning Edinburgh Fringe show Firing Cheeseballs at a Dog which he is currently touring nationwide.

Ian Hyder, director of The Licensing Awards and The Licensing Source Book (which owns and organises the Awards) commented: “It is a tall order finding the right host for The Licensing Awards – thankfully Greg is 6’ 8! There will be well over 1,300 people at this year’s event and it’s no mean feat to keep everyone amused while getting through the key business of the evening, presenting the industry’s ultimate accolades, but he is a big enough man for the job!”
