Leading specialist publisher to produce range of RSPCA calendars, diaries and organisers

Leading animal welfare charity and popular consumer brand RSPCA has awarded a licence to BrownTrout Publishers to produce a range of branded, animal-themed 2012 calendar and diary titles. BrownTrout, a major publisher of calendars and diaries covering a vast range of subjects, plans to launch its RSPCA range throughout the UK in August.

The range will include wall calendars, organisers and a slim pocket diary as well as BrownTrout’s popular slim calendar format, all featuring a number of stunning photographs based on popular animal themes including puppies, kittens and wildlife.

The RSPCA calendars and diaries range will be available at a wide selection of retailers including department stores as well as specialist outlets such as card shops, book shops, stationers and garden centres. The diaries and calendars will also be widely available through online retailers.

The calendar and diary titles are expected to enjoy a diverse and strong market including animal lovers of all ages, ethical and family shoppers as well as gift buyers.

RSPCA trading manager Cathy Snow said: “The BrownTrout RSPCA range not only accurately and attractively reflects RSPCA values, but the substantial amount contributed to the society from the sale of the 2012 titles will be a major boost for the funding of essential RSPCA welfare activities such as providing animal shelters, mobile clinics and animal rescue.”

This is another significant addition to the fast-growing RSPCA licensing campaign, which should see the animal welfare charity make strong inroads as a trusted and high quality brand into a number of categories including apparel, gifts, homeware, paperware, petware and many others.

Brown Trout national sales manager Clive Golledge, said: “BrownTrout is delighted to be taking over production of calendars and diaries for the RSPCA from this year. As the largest supplier of calendars to UK retail, we are keen to grow the distribution, sales and awareness of this brand and, in turn, charity contributions to the RSPCA.”
