Claire O’Connor joins NCP Australia

On the eve of this year’s Licensing International Expo in Las Vegas Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has appointed Claire O’Connor to the newly created position of Director, Nickelodeon Consumer Products (NCP) for Australia & New Zealand. The news marks an important milestone for NCP’s consumer products business in Australia and New Zealand.

O’Connor is responsible for managing NCP's regional licensing and merchandising strategy across the VIMN portfolio, as well as licensee relationships, retail partnerships and day-to-day operations. She will work in partnership with NCP’s long-time exclusive licensing agent in Australia, Haven Licensing.

Based in Sydney, O’Connor will dual report to Katrina Southon, SVP & Managing Director, VIMN Australia & New Zealand in Sydney and Mark Kingston, Vice President, UK & Australia and Retail Sales and Trade Marketing Europe, Nickelodeon Consumer Products, VIMN in London.

With more than 150 licensees already in place for established properties, NCP Australia is building on this success with licensing programmes rolling out across Australia and New Zealand for new properties including Victorious, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Winx Club, along with the recent breakout MTV reality show, Jersey Shore.

O’Connor joins NCP Australia after consulting and managing Paramount Pictures Home Entertainment Australia’s children’s portfolio.
