July 15th to August 15th: Duque D’Ávila Avenue - Snoopy on Parade Hits Lisbon

The newly refurbished Duque D'Avila Avenue, Lisbon, will be the venue of one of the most colorful events of the summer. From July 15th through August 15th, Lisbon will be the new home to Snoopy on Parade. The fun-filled event, a co-initiatvie of Copyrights Promotions and Peanuts Worldwide includes the participation of several well known artists such as Albuquerque Mendes, Joseph Herman, Nuno Markl, Ana Galvão, Guilherme Parente, Rita Fernandes, Mariola, Anna Westerlund, Marta de Castro, Evelina Oliveira, Acacio Carvalho, Graça and Gracinha Viterbo, Pedro Ribeiro, Vasco Miranda and Vanda Palmerin. It is a true "Snoopy Invasion” of the largest size that will help UNICEF and the Schools for Africa program.

Lisbon’s Snoopy on Parade is an urban art installation that invites the audience to contemplate and enjoy Charles Schulz’s character, Snoopy, reinterpreted by artists, painters and other authors of inspired artistry. Composed of 20 statues, 2.60 m high, the exibition will be open from July 15th to August 15th, along Duque d'Avila Avenue in Lisbon.

SNOOPY and UNICEF

A reference to different generations around the world, SNOOPY by Charles Schulz, has been linked to many social causes. Causes of relevance and long-term impact, such as "Acreditar" in Portugal, or "Ein Hertz Für Kinder" in Germany.

To celebrate the 60th Anniversary of Charles Schulz’s creation, SNOOPY partnered with UNICEF, to raise funds for the program "Schools for Africa", a joint venture between UNICEF, the Nelson Mandela Foundation and Hamburg Society, which aims to ensure that children have equitable access to basic education in 11 African countries.
