Further listings announced for childrens’ favourite Hari the Elephant

It has been announced that products and books based on the hit children’s brand Hari’s World are now listed at ZSL London Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo – two of the biggest animal attractions in the UK.

Hari’s World is an exciting and imaginative series of books following the adventures of Hari the Elephant and friends; they are all about having fun and enjoying life but are also particularly innovative as subtle safety messages are woven into every adventure. The books are also complemented by an adorable plush range from Dowman Soft Touch.

These latest listings add to a significant presence for Hari at zoos and other animal attractions, with the brand also available at Bristol Zoo, Drummond Safari Park, Edinburgh Zoo and The Deep Aquarium in Hull. The character and concept has proved such a hit that Drummond Safari Park has already hosted two ‘Hari Days’, where Hari visited the park along with Moe Mouse to promote his new adventure – ‘Hari at the Park’ – and to involve children in the Play Safe message. A Hari Day is set to take place soon at The Deep, whilst Edinbugh Zoo and ZSL Whipsnade Zoo have also requested a visit.

Hari’s World also has a presence in gift shops and garden centres across the UK and discussions are under way with major high street retailers who are interested in stocking the products, whilst Dowman is introducing Hari’s World to markets across Western Europe. Further licensing opportunities are being explored in categories such as interactive toys, collectables, board games, musical products, and interactive games and applications.

“We are experiencing huge amounts of interest from zoos, aquariums and safari parks and I think this is due to Hari’s World offering something particularly colourful and imaginative and which is different to traditional plush characters and concepts,” says Managing Director Tris McGee. “Hari Days are proving to be a massive hit with animal attractions and with safety at the forefront of operators’ minds and a key component of their corporate social responsibility, Hari Days promote safe play in fun and exciting ways.”
