With a background in restoration and vintage furniture, Halo’s Home & Living collection for Oxford is designed with a retro feel and an eye for Oxford detail. It comprises several ranges from living, home office, dining and occasional pieces, to wall art, travel and sporting goods. Each range is named after renowned Alumni and benefactors of the University, such as Pitt-Rivers (trunks), Radcliffe (home office) and Rhodes (luggage); or after aspects that are intrinsic to an Oxford education, such as Bodleian (library) and Senior Common Room (living).
The famous Oxford rowing and rugby clubs are also represented in the collection via vintage images; as are a number of the 38 colleges with a range of wall art using their colourful and intricate crests and coats of arms. The Oxford stripe design, inspired by the colours of the scarves and ties of the Oxford colleges, also provides an additional Oxford twist as a lining for a number of pieces. |
“The launch of The Oxford Collection marks a significant development for the Oxford brand and licensing programme”, commented Chris Evans, MD Oxford Limited. “I’m delighted that Halo will debut and showcase this beautifully hand-crafted collection at MAISON&OBJET in Paris; a prestigious platform that will generate great exposure and opportunity for the Oxford brand in other home and living licensing categories.”
“We are excited by this new partnership with Oxford Limited and proud to be associated to the University of Oxford and its rich nine-century old history and archives that will be an endless source of inspiration for the collection in the years to come”, says Serge Gander Managing Director of Halo Licensing. |
