SmileyWorld partners with Carrefour on their biggest promotion of the year

The Smiley Company’s emoticon inspired brand ‘Smiley World’ has partnered up with French hypermarket Carrefour for their ‘Smile its back to school/work’ promotion (Souriez c ’est la rentree) throughout all their stores.

 

Carrefour, who currently has over 230 hypermarkets throughout France, will use a whole host of SmileyWorld icons to mark out different sections within their stores and parking lots as part of the promotion. The icons will also appear on their direct-mail and in-store catalogues, as well as on their website and as part of a major advertising campaign in both on and off-line publications including daily newspapers, billboards and radio; resulting in one of the biggest promotional campaigns of the year for Carrefour.

Carrefour will offer their customers a promotional cheque book housing 100 euros worth of offers in the form of promotional cheques illustrated with Smiley icons which can be used to redeem against purchases. 13,000,000 cheque books will be distributed throughout the campaign offering 1.3 billion euros worth of promotional discounts to Carrefour customers.
